Business community support has always been a major factor in the success of Meals On Wheels programs.
How can businesses support a Meals On Wheels program?
Corporate volunteers for advisory committees and agency board of directors provide needed expertise and direction.
Employee volunteers foster company spirit-de-corps while helping those in need.
Corporate donations are always welcome and are tax-deductible.
How can employees become involved?
To Volunteer: Companies and their employees can be assigned to a delivery route. It takes only 90 minutes during lunch time and two employees with access to a vehicle to get started. The frequency of participation is tailored to fit your company’s operations.
To Donate: Employees can choose Meals On Wheels Delaware as the recipient of individual or group employee donations. Funds may be donated to cover the cost of a specific number of meals for a homebound senior and to support other program services.
Can someone come to tell my club, group or business about opportunities for volunteering?
Yes, a staff member would be happy to speak to your group about our program. Please call (302) 656-3257, to request a speaker.
